Mission Unicorn Event 2024 – Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Mission Unicorn Event 2024 (“MU Leaders of Tomorrow”), you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  1. Eligibility and Registration:
  • The MU Event is open to individuals aged 8 and above.
  • Participants must register within the specified registration period (Dec 01st 2023 to Jan 31st 2024).
  1. Workshop Participation:
  • Participants will engage in a 12-week learning program covering various entrepreneurial topics.
  • Topics include Ideation, Pitching Techniques, Business Model Development, Funding Strategies, Market Research, Founder Equity, and Legal Considerations.

  1. Registration Fee:
  • A basic registration charge of $35/ INR 2899 applies.
  • Additional charges may apply for optional add-on services.

  1. Funding and Investor Exposure:
  • Shortlisted entrepreneurs for the final event will receive a percentage of their funding.
  • Participants will be exposed to a panel of investors, potentially leading to further funding (T&C apply).

  1. Webinars:
  • Webinars will be conducted live via Zoom.
  • Participants will receive session links for respective webinars.

  1. Program Timeline:
  • Registration: Dec 01st to Jan 30th
  • Evaluation and Online Pitch: March to April
  • Final Event: May
  • Timelines are subject to change, and participants will be notified in advance.

  1. Team/Startup Participation:
  • The maximum number of participants allowed in a team/startup during the final event will be determined by the organizers.

  1. Tiebreaker Procedures
  • If a tie occurs between two or more Contestants, the Organizer reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to determine which Contestant is eliminated and/or advances to the next round. In this regard, the Organizer may make necessary arrangements or request additional rounds from the Contestants as it deems necessary for ensuring fair competition.

  1. Evaluation of Ideas:
  • Ideas will be evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, and potential impact.

  1. Payment Methods:
  • Payment methods for registration fees will be specified on the registration portal.

  1. Multiple Idea Registration:
  • Participants can register any number of ideas, each of which will be evaluated and shortlisted independently.

  1. Inclusions in $35 Package:
  • Exclusive webinars, courses, mentorship, access to investors, and travel and accommodation for the participant.

  1. Non-Selection of Idea/Startup:
  • If your idea/startup is not selected in the 1st round, you can still access selected webinars and courses.
  • Non-selection in the 2nd round allows participation in the next funding round.

  1. Involvement as an Investor:
  • Details about the process to get involved in MU as an investor will be provided separately.

  1. Registration Form:
  • Participants must complete Form 1 with personal details, a 200-word synopsis, and choose courses/add-ons before proceeding to the payment portal.
  • Form 2 requires the upload of a pitch deck (PPT/Word file) and responses to screening questions.

  1. Organizer’s Discretion and Changes
  • Even after the final selection for the Event, the Organizer shall reserve the right to replace any Contestant at their discretion and based on creative requirements, all for the betterment of the Event. Additionally, the Organizer reserves the right to adjust the number of Contestants, either by increasing or decreasing.
  • At no point in time will the Organizer be obliged to notify unsuccessful Contestants of its decision.

  1. Dispute Resolution and Event Modification
  • In the event of any fault, misunderstanding, or dispute concerning any part of the Event, including the telephone system, call-backs, and the selection of Contestants, the final and binding decision lies with the Organizer. The Organizer is empowered to make decisions on cases or instances not explicitly covered by the current Rules and Regulations.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to modify (add, delete, or modify) the Rules and regulations governing the Event and/or the Participant selection process, both prospectively and retrospectively, at its discretion and without prior notice. This is done to enhance the Event and address any arising issues.
  • At any point, the Organizer has the authority to terminate the Event without prior intimation or notice to the public. Furthermore, the Organizer is under no obligation to compensate individuals who have participated in the Event or to accommodate selected individuals.
  • Registering for the Event does not guarantee the selection of the Applicant(s) to proceed with the Event. Additionally, registration does not automatically entitle any Contestant(s) to receive a prize or award.
  • Participation in the registration process is considered acceptance by the Applicant(s) to receive promotional messages from the Organizer or any third party authorized by the Organizer.

  1. Acceptance of Terms
  • By accessing or using the Mission Unicorn (MU 2024) website, products, or services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. Engaging in the Event through any of the means above implies acceptance of all the Event’s rules and regulations. The Organizer retains the authority to disqualify or terminate the participation of any Applicant, and the Organizer’s decision shall be conclusive and binding. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website, products, or services.
  • The Contestant acknowledges that their decision to participate in the Event is voluntary, made of their own free will and that they are prepared to assume all risks, costs, and consequences arising from such participation.
  • Should it come to light, at any juncture, including post-prize disbursement, that any information provided by the Contestant(s) is discovered to be inaccurate, false, or otherwise misrepresented or misleading, the Contestant(s) will be solely responsible for reimbursing all amounts received from the Organizer.
  • By accepting these Rules and Regulations, Participants grant the Organizer and its affiliates permission to capture photographs, record videos of the Contestant(s), and utilize the Contestant(s) name, photographs, likeness, voice, and comments for advertising and promotional purposes across any media globally. This usage is intended for advertising and trade purposes without requiring any additional compensation whatsoever.
  • The Organizer retains the authority to, at its discretion, reschedule the dates for registration, call-backs, etc., of the Event.
  • The Organizer has the right to use the founders’ names and the startup name for any future marketing and promotional activities.

  1. Fundraising Success Fee Terms:
  • In the event of successful fundraising facilitated by the Organizer through connections established during or as a result of the Event, a success fee, equivalent to a commission, will be charged. This fee will be calculated at a rate of 2-3% of the total investment amount obtained from external investors. 
  • The success fee is applicable only to the funds raised through investors introduced or connected by the Organizer during or following the Event. This fee aims to support the continued success and sustainability of the initiative. Participants will be duly notified of the success fee structure, and its application will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined by the Organizer.

  1. Privacy:
  • Participant information will be handled by our Privacy Policy.

By registering for the Mission Unicorn Event 2024, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. The organizers reserve the right to make changes to these terms, with participants notified in advance of any modifications.
